Having been building models since I was old enough to hold a paintbrush, I stopped in my late teens, halfway through a 1/100 Heller ship of the line which had defeated me with its fit and complexity, and all my spare time was taken up by trying to qualify for the Olympics in archery while also passing school exams.
At the end of my degree, and with time on my hands, I returned and finished it, sparking renewed interest.

Finding that the Internet was full of modelling information, including the mysterious concept of “doing it properly”, with such outlandish things as weathering, washes, and filling in panel gaps, I set out to learn what I could and build kits that look as real as possible.
It’s been fun, but now I feel that joining an IPMS group will give the exposure to different views and feedback that I need to really understand what I’m doing and why.

I enjoy building across many eras and genres, from galleons to jets.
