Poole Vikings Show 2011

16 April 2011 Poole Vikings Model Show - a bijoux beauty

Poole Vikings put on a big show in a small space. This year a large number of Clubs and traders were squeezed into two halls and a few corridors, the result was a fantastically well organized interesting show with lots of bargains.  Liz and Steve managed to fill the club's three tables, (the big Mosquitos and a brace of 1/32nd scale planes helped!) which were positioned in the opening between the two main halls. This enabled us to see and be seen in both at the same time.

Liz's Egg plane and Wallace & Grommit displays attracted a lot of attention from people of all ages,  which probably accounted for Mr Models boost in sales on the day

Our competition entries were all booked in, but remained on each club's stand (thus saving an awful lot of space into the bargain!) At 5 entries for a Pound, there was an abundance of entries. Liz came away with a Bronze medal for her Wallace & Grommit diorama. Steve gained Gold medals for his Trumpeter BR 86 Dampflokomotive and Leonardo da Vinci gunship with a Silver for his detailed Hasegawa Me 109 G6
