This was the first year that the "Secret Santa" was trialled.
In spite of some 'unfinished' entries (and only 15 out of 18 were displayed!), it was decided to carry on with the idea in 2026.

"The End of an Era!"
After nearly 33 years in charge, Steve Abbey has handed over to new Branch Secretary, Ian Tress.
He has not disappeared though; but has taken on the role as Chairman, to assist with the change over.

Last show* of the year at BugleCall 25
Sean and Big Mick, along with Liz & Steve made the trek down to Nailsea to take part in the last show of the season. With success for both Sean & Steve on the competition tables.
• We've since heard that Bugle Call will not be returning for the foreseeable future.
The 4 guys that organise the show have decided they're getting on in life to be able to continue to carry the load. The show will be sadly missed.

Earley Risers enter the Jet Age
The Nige, Peter, Phil, Jeff, Liz & Steve, along with Dave and Andrey went to IPMS Gloucester's model show. Whilst there, some of them went down the road and visited The Jet Age Museum. They managed a tour of various aircraft, including a Vulcan cockpit.
The friendly little model show seemed a little more quiet than normal,(although several ERs managed to sell a few unwanted kits from their stashes!) As usual, our mix of models attracted much attention throughout the day.

Life Membership for Les
Club Member Les Beaumont was granted a Life Membership of The Earley Risers at our AGM, held in December. Mark and Steve visited him at home to present his certificate.
You will recall, Les suffered a stroke on 1st April 2020, which affected his left side. Unablle to walk, this rendered him housebound, spending his days in bed, or proppped up in a specially designed chair.
In spite of this, Les has kept his sense of humour. He looks forward to visits and phone calls from friends and club members
Les was suitably impressed
with his award!
