Super Saturday for The Earley Risers in Poole

On Saturday, ten Earley Risers set off for Poole Vikings’ annual model show. It’s a small venue that has a friendly atmosphere with a good range of clubs and traders in attendance. We put on our normal high-quality display with a good range of subjects in different scales.

Seven of us put models into the competition and we did very well, especially Hugh - who not only won his class, by 1 point from Steve, but also took Best of Show!

We returned home with: Best of Show, 4 Gold Awards, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze Certificates. Well done everyone!

Gold Awards

	Hugh won Gold (miscellaneous) and best of show for his 130HP Le Clerget 9B engine.
	Nige won Gold for his Sea Dart missile in the Naval class
	Ewan got a Gold in the Sci-fi and Fantasy class for his Gundam figure
	Sean received Gold in the Bust class for his Henry V at Agincourt bust

Silver Awards

Dave won Silver in the civilian vehicle class for his Funny Car...

...while Steve achieved Silver for his Maybach VL II engine in the same class as Hugh

Bronze Awards

Phil received Bronzes in the Sci-fi and Fantasy class for his Green Witches New Shoes figure...

...and in the Large Scale Military Vehicle class for his scratch built BA-27 Soviet Armoured Car
