Another Best Stand for Earley Risers

Following the table set up on the previous day by Steve - who remained massively busy for the rest of  the day on BDAC duty -  Jeff, Phil, Tim L, Tim P, Peter, Ewan and Nige loaded up the stand.

Signature pieces were: 1/48 B-29 from Tim L, Ewan’s 1/100 Perfect grade freedom strike and Tim P’s newly completed 1/48 A-10 (as trailed in our Whats App group). Phil put up a great selection of armour, air and Figures, Jeff had a great mix of 1/35 armour and Peter showed a selection of his civilian automobiles.

Phil also picked up a Gold for his 1/35 Scratch build post WW1 Armoured Car.

Other than Phil’s individual Gold, the club won Best Display Stand ( for the second time this year ) Given the overall qualities of all the other club displays, Earley Risers modellers mix of subjects along with scales and presentation, proved to be the differentiator on the day.

Visitor footfall seemed quite low on our side of the hangar, but we got plenty attention throughout the day from other clubs dropping by for chats and catch-ups.

BDAC Museum update

Overall The Museum and its collection is really filling up and the completed Grand Slam Lancaster nose tour was busy all day.

Other aircraft movements included moving the Tornado into its new position as well as bringing the 2 seat Jaguar inside, alongside the new Hawk project.
