28th Feb - Liz, Steve and Les chill out at  Old Warden  The intrepid trio shivered their way through a packed model show at the Shuttleworth Collection, near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire.

9th April - Mark, liz, Steve and Geoff have a great time in  Poole  The four Earley Risers showed the flag at Poole's model show. Liz and Steve came away with a few awards.

24th April - ModelKraft at Milton Keynes -  Liz gets Gold at ModelKraft!  Yes, Liz gained a Gold medal, for her Nautilus submarine at Milton Keynes. Both Hugh and Sean gained a Silver, Hugh for his Citroen and Sean for his Sdkfz 223.

8th May - IPMS Gloucester Show More

15th May - Summer Competitions This year, the competitions were hotly contested and, after close scrutiny, Liz and Steve shared the top honours.

3rd July -  North Somerset Show In complete contrast to last year's event, it was a beautiful sunny day. Everyone had a pleasant time, filled with modelling, stimulating conversation, and a bit of retail therapy!

7th August - IPMS Avon's expanded annual show covers three large halls filled to the brim with traders, model club displays and wargaming tables. The competition area, formally squeezed into half of a small upstairs room, now takes up almost half of the third hall.

21st August - Old Sarum As the debut show of the Boscombe Down Aircraft Collection, this was a great success. Hopefully, with more cooperation from a few aircraft owners, the show could expand into the adjacent hangar.

24th September - ModelFest 16 - IPMS Farnborough's show was, as ever, a great success. Certainly an attraction for modellers - More ERs turned up to this event than any previous shows this year!

2nd October - Abingdon 2016. ERs picked up quite a few awards at IPMS Abingdon's show this year.

8th October -  TankMod 2016. A good turnout of ERs and their models ensured we had an eye-catching display at the Tank Museum. Bovington's third TankMod was bigger and better than previous years. Modellers had plenty of room, with the cafe just across the hall from our stand.

11-12 November - SMW16 This year's display theme - 50 Shades of Grey - won Silver in the Jesse Wright Trophy. Quite apt really, as the award is a silvery grey colour! This is awarded to the best club displays at Scale ModelWorld each year.  Golds Galore Hugh won 2 Golds (and Cross & Cockade Trophy for Best WWI aircraft), with Steve and Liz collecting one each. Bronze Steve picked one up, Big Mick Hazell also bagged one of these plus a couple of Commendeds Click here for more

18 December - George's Christmas Plate was won by Mark with his 1/72 Boulton Paul Balliol
