The '22 Season started on a wet airfield in Bedfordshire!
Liz and Steve, closely followed by Peter, arrived early at Old Warden, where the magnificent Shuttleworth Collection of vintage aircraft, vehicles and farm machinery is based. The model show was set in the engineering hangars on the efge of the collection. The stands were overlooked by Shuttleworth's own Lysander that was itself undergoing deep servicing before the flying season.

For once, the weather wasn't bitterly cold - Many visitors, not put off by the rain, ventured out to see the displays, perhaps pick up a bargain or two, and wander amongst the exhibits.

In the competition, Steve's kettenkrad won First Prize in the 'Over 1/35 scale' Class!

The Shuttleworth Collection lets you get up close to it's varied exhibts, ranging from vintage aircraft to farm vehicles - well worth a day out!
