Another Bovvy weekend for the Earley Risers

This was a 2 day show, with set up (by Jeff and Mick) on Friday afternoon. Although a good number of visitors arrived on Saturday, Sunday was a lot quieter. Probably because most traders were only there on Saturday - most carrier bags noticed on that day too!

Located under the Chieftain, our stand was in a great place and and got good footfall from passing traffic. Mark and Geri’s stall next to us generated lots of interest, that helped to draw visitors in.

Five Earley Risers attended the show : Jeff for 3 days,
Peter, Ewan and Nige on both days, with Andrey on Sunday.
(Not forgetting Mick and Geoff on Churchill SIG)

We put on a good display, with Ewan’s 1/16 Abrams and T-72 featuring prominently. Andrey’s Armour was a great addition on Sunday, and he entered his T-85 was in the competition, but unfortunately did not place. Jeff’s cars got attention on both days, while Nige’s Triebflugel and pair of Shindens continued to engage passing visitors and club members helping to start conversations around the club and the hobby in general. A potential new member (Graham) should, hopefully, be coming to club meet end of this month following talking to us both here and at Farnborough. Words & Pics by "The Nige"
