New Horizons at REME!

Ewan, Jeff and Nige were on site at 8:00am ready for setting up. This year, our location was different from usual as we shared an alcove with the Swindon club, just before the exit to main reception. We are then joined by Peter.

Given the location we experimented with the stand layout again, in order to draw people in, by stacking Ewan’s 1/16th scale tanks at the far end in tiers, with our display set from small to large from the entry point.

Mick and Geoff were reunited with their Churchill in the main hall. Roland was there for the day as well. on another stand.

Breakfast at the Crown was a great start to the day and we started to get a steady flow of visitors from about 10:45 as they worked their way around the museum. What was interesting this year was the younger visitors speed of recognition for the range of armour on display and there was good interaction and a few leaflets collected for possible club interest. The 1/6 tanks were out in force running most of the day, and there was a good turn out of traders and under table sales.
